Get a toothpick and superglue. Dont fix it if it isn't broken!

The gel superglue, of course. Only a dab, on the end of the toothpick (If it's the round type you may want to cut one end flat). Stick it in there, wait a few minutes (avoid the sides!) and pull, it should come out.

Its the older 60gig. I may try what Kazaryster suggested if I cant get it out. Thanks

If you do that, try not cutting the second output. That way you can share your tunes with somebody if you want. Or hook it up to two sets of speakers.

Have you every seen how tiny the traces are on the hp jack? Because I'm pretty sure any attempts would just burn through the cable.

To avoid getting glue on the sides (I used a similar method with 2-part epoxy and a stick from a lollipop once), you can use a cut-off straw. Put the straw in before the stick with the glue, and make you you wait for the glue to harden properly.
