So I've always wanted to mod a console. Since getting my Saturn and finding out that i was going to miss out on some of the cool games I wanted to do the 50/60hz and region switch to it. Well I've now decided to find out just how much fun modding can be and i thought that the best place to start would be something simple like switching the power led in my teal GBC from red to blue (I'll have a look into the Saturn thing at a later date
).
So has anyone done this small mod before and if so is there a simple guide (I'm only really worried about which LED to use in terms of forward voltage and which resistor(s) need changing (if any)?
Any other tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
PS i guess i should admit that the last time i had a soldering iron in my hand was about 6 years ago.
