Hi, names Chris. Recently I've began working on a Portable Wii, Not the laptop, Just a little to much to deal with to go all out and do that right now. What I plan/ned on doing is once I get the money buying the Portable Wii Screen, mounting it, then building A battery pack for it. But I need to know which batteries to use to get the best possible longest possible amount of time out of it without killing the system. I know of one person using Two (2) 2.4AH batteries and getting about 110 minutes of play (An hour and fifty minutes). I would also like to know who I would set the battery pack up so I could use it with the Wii, Yes I am slightly new to this ~Worked around with the Snes before~ But I'm not new to wiring and what not, and my father is just as much of a computer god as some others, but like me and him both, no luck with Portablizing
Short Version:
Question One: What batteries to use for powering a Wii for maximum power but not to the point it would kill the Wii.
Question Two: How would I set the battery up without opening the Wii? Would I be able to wire strip the AV and set it up this way?
Help would be appreciated and I thank everyone in advanced.

I may not not all THAT much about batteries, but one thing you ought to know is that its not voltage that makes it run longer. batteries are rated with both Voltage, which is how much power the pump out, and then they have a different rating for how long they last (mAh). So really what you're looking for is a battery with the correct voltage (I'm not sure what voltage the Wii runs off of, but it should be on your power adapter) and then from there you want to find one with a high mAh rating.
I'm sure someone who has more practical experience with batteries will be of more help, though.

They probably ran the batteries in parallel. That is, they tied the two positive leads together and the two negative leads together, making one battery pack. This adds the battery capacity together, making a 4.8 amp battery pack. That's most likely how they got more than an hour from the batteries.
Daisy-chaining them together in series (positive from battery 1 connects to negative from battery 2) will add the voltage, but not the capacity. Probably not what you want to do, especially if the batteries are running at the Wii's power input voltage.

You want to get the voltage to the same as the Wii's AC adapter output, give or take a couple tenths of a volt. I was assuming you have multiple batteries that run at that level.
You can have as much battery capacity as you want. Too much voltage will kill your Wii, but there's a lot more leeway in capacity. Just remember that more batteries will make for a heavier, larger portable.
