Its super easy to get there, takes about 5 highway roads and ~1.5-2 hours, couldn't be more simple.lifeisbetterwithketchup wrote:I have no idea if I'll be able to go; but if I can I will.I don't live too far away (Chicago suburbs), so it can't be that hard.
I'm glad its still in Oconomowoc at the Olympia. I was talking to the Goatstore guy at the Video Game Summit in Illinois and he said the show was getting a bit too big for the area or something, but after two years of attending I love the Olympia and everything about it. My plan from now until the show is to convince you guys to stay there instead of the Ramada since I usually miss out on all the post show fun.
Don't forget about me, mine is the next day after yours!samus wrote: there better be a triton/samus birthday extravaganzaaaaa!

Sorry, but Ramada is much cheaper. Plus, from the looks of things, it's sold out anyway. That just gives you an excuse to go to us at the Ramada insteadwallydawg wrote:My plan from now until the show is to convince you guys to stay there instead of the Ramada since I usually miss out on all the post show fun.

cheapass ramada ftw, i think we should get 2 rooms this year instead of just the one suite, 11 people in one suite was a bit ridiculous!
one room for the people who sleep, another for the ones who build portables in the bathroom!

I'll be there, I can squirrel away enough money to drive there. Gas prices seem to be coming down, thankfully. And on that note, sorry Gannon, I wont be driving through the U.P. this time, too much a work around.
If you guys are planning on having it be longer then a week let me know, if I"m working I'll see about getting the extra time off.

Don't let age throw you off too much, we've had 15-16 year olds come to this before, or about that age range. If you want to fly in, now is the time to book. Flights to Milwaukee have been fairly reasonable when I've checked, from most airports. Like I said, I don't mind picking people up from the airport, just pay me back the gas for the airport trip (about $5-10)

Haha, checked out my college schedule, and.... yup, the preceding week is spring break!
This means I'll probably end up going to John's a few days before and likely working on his Lolvo, getting it running again (I predict car issues before, but not during the trip!)
I think, depending on how many people we have, two suites might be best. Maybe one for people going to bed early, and the other for people *ahem* making toilet-portables and, uh, soldering and stuff
