Working in Canada while living in the US

I plan to move North, live in the US but work as a actor in Canada (less Union crap) will I need any special paperwork? I know a few of you are Canadian and Ben is a filmmaker so...

You'd need at least a work visa, and that requires a fee. I don't recall how long it's valid for, I haven't needed one for a while. Depending on the border situation near where you live, though, it's very hard for it to be a profitable thing. Everything I cleared after taxes and fees was spent on gas sitting in line at Customs.

If you really want to do this, go to the US and Canadian government Customs webpages. The info there is correct and up-to-date. I'd strongly recommend seeing what it'd cost to immigrate to Canada, as well. It may end up being a lot more profitable for you.

I did the Canadian employment/US Citizen thing for quite a while, and it was much more hassle than anything else. I really don't recommend it.

If you plan to do it there is a special retina scan thing you can do
It is a special clear card, you scan it, then you do your finger print, then it scans you eyes like in Minority report
There is even a "special" line just for that which is a lot shorter and quicker
-My dad uses it at least once a month and is very quick

He works for a Canadian company in the US(opposite of your situation)

Isn't that just the tollbooth, though? I wasn't aware there were any shortcuts for getting through Customs. Even when I was on Work and Student Visas, I still got pulled over and searched pretty regularly. Admittedly, I'm on the UP/Ontario border. Technology isn't our strength up here.

Seriously, have you ever been anywhere else?

It's nice, but it's not that cool. Well, the country (land) is pretty and Toronto kicks ass, but the people there are so damn creepy...

Well, everyone talking about Canada right now is currently in the states, and I've been to the states many times. I understand completely why they'd choose Canada.

Rarely, actually! I don't have much time/money to travel. And since my printing press isn't complete yet, and that time machine keeps being put on hold, I do not get to do much even if I wanted to.

Actually, my future plans for travel involve exploring more of Canada.

It's so big and friendly and nice, who would ever want to leave? You don't see many Canadian immigrants in many places except 3rd world countries where we're helping out. Mind you, they do exist elsewhere, but Canada is just so great! All the benefits of America without the majority of the downsides.

And Canadians are not "creepy", we're "nice". How exactly do you find us creepy? (You can find me biased for sure, creepy, yes, but I'm an exception to the general populous!)
