I practically live by my G5 30GB iPod (Video one), and I've got a white MacBook w/ Superdrive (I consider that music), a crapy beginner amp, a banged up Squire Strat, and a school rented Bassoon. OH! I almost forgot my Ocarina!

I'm big on sound systems though. I've got a cheap Sony 5.1 in my basement where I play my games, and Friign awesome, prep. to be stunned, DELL SPEAKERS!!! They are beastly 5.1's. I think Harmon/Kardon made them for dell though, but they are my pride and joy, I may post pics soon.

on my pc downstairs i have what i consider to be the best PC speakers ever made, their a 10 year old set of JL pro computer speakers, they kick ass

they 2.1 or 5.1? Oh, you didn't count the Bose ones in "Best" right? In my opinion, hardly anything compares to Bose.

Hate to break it to you, but there's nothing special about Bose speakers. All the do is make tuned cases for otherwise middle-of-the-road speakers. I applied for a job at Bose; the majority of their offices (at least the one in Massachusetts) is marketing, not R&D.

We've got some Yamaha studio speakers in the garage that were built into custom plywood enclosures with enough airspace to allow the speaker to resonate, and they sound better than every Bose system I've ever heard. (We have a relative who works at a TV station around here; thy blew the woofers out and got an entirely new speaker system.) I put one of those Quicrete tubes in front of cheap 10" speakers I got from Wal-Mart and they sounded better.

old skool JBL pro (not jl my bad) 2.1 speakers. as far as best home setup ive heard i LOVE my advent heritages, they look great and sound FANTASTIC

OK...here's my audiophile setup

I'd put a photo, but I dont' have a camera....so i I just burned a little time here at work, and scribbled a sketch of my Setup....should I get a camera, I might post a real pic...of course this practially is a photo, since this is how it looks in my house...

My sound setup is pretty good, considering I have spent zero dollars on it. For my desktop downstairs, I have sony tower speakers with wireless rear satellites that some guy was throwing out and upstairs I have Boston Acoustic Small speakers with a nice subwoofer. Those were being thrown out at the dump, and work perfectly.

i use my zune 30gig and smokin' buds skullcandy ear buds.

i have a high quality handmade viola and violin. a cort action bass that's blue. a yamaha 12-string guitar. this really nice keyboard that isn't actually mine. a really nice small collection of vinyl with turntable, of course. a yamaha baby grand upright at home. ableton live 7.0.2. virtual dj. pcdj dex. and my sony "60-cd changer mini hifi component system mhc-65100 hooked up to my desktop for surround sound.

my car has a blown-out speaker. it's quite funny.

I figured it'd be too bloggish to post an entire thread about my new guitar, so I thought I'd bump this one instead!

I don't think many of you younger members will be familiar with Steinbergers, but you older guys should be, especially Van Halen fans...

Here's my AWESOME new bass, a 5-string Steinberger Synapse. It's a graphite/maple hybrid, with perfect balance. As you can probably tell, it doesn't have a headstock, that's what makes it a Steinberger. It's the most solid feeling guitar I've ever played, and sounds a lot like a Rickenbacker. It has a real punch of a tone, and the EQ adjustments are extremely versatile. I could go on and on about it, it's just amazing. These usually go for $1200, but I went with a refurbished one for $800 on eBay. Totally worth it, these things are built like tanks. "Used" or not, they will always look new.

I have Ikon speakers downstairs. I'm afraid they beat all of yours. Sorry.

They're $10,000 speakers that my family got from a nightclub. (That doesnt include the Denon Amp, and Pyle Sub)

We also have a Epiphone - Les Paul and a huge Kustom Amp.
