Nero 9 is bloated (took over an Hour to install on a 2.3GHz P4) and require licenses for me to use the type codec required for what I want to burn.
Windows Movie maker, Microsoft really copulate this program up, I used to be able to make a movie with ease with it, now it copulate splits a 24min movie into over 120 pieces, and no options whatsoever to change that anywhere.
I need a Good .avi to dvd program, I need it to allow me to create a Main menu because I am gonna have more than one video file per DVD+R

It would help if you told us what codec you're using...
(.AVI is just a wrapper.) Probably DiVX? I've never had any trouble with Nero...
Try DeepBurner's DVD software. (Their other programs are pretty great...)

FinalBurner Alpha *used* to work for me but an Automatic Update botched it.
I now use ImgBurn to burn CDs.
