Jack, the DS is the first console geared towards both right and left handers. The games have 2 configurations for controlls, unlike other systems.

Wrong. I know for a fact that Halo has lefty settings that swap the analog sticks and triggers (not sure if it remaps the buttons to the d-pad, I've never really paid attention).

I wasn't really comlaining aboutt hat in this thread, but more like I was seeing how many people here were lefties. Also when you change button configuration it gets wierd. Im used to playing a right handed consdole. Throw in a touch sreen suddenly its like I have two d pads. Oh and a good point about Halo Andrew.

I am a lefty as well. I can do about everything right handed thought, except write. Like a lot of you guys, my teachers tried to switch me when I was in elementary school. The world is made for right handed people.

HAH! The Atari Lynx Had right and left handed settings. And the was before X-box and the DS! (You pushed a button on the Lynx and turned the system up-side down.

Always Atari think of original ideas that are still used today, a list then...

Wireless Controllers (Atari 2700 Prototype)
Left Handed Controls (I had an idea for this on a SNES pad)
Cartridge Device Media (okay, they weren't the first, but they pushed the choice of format for games)

Hey, listen ok even if I'm not canadian i still belive in freedom of nation if your canadian that's ok if your american that's ok , i'm american and my fellow americans what do you have to say for your self, you canadian haters you how would you like it if our nation was the other way around if the canadians hated us and we didn't defend our self(not that anybody hasn't) but this is wrong what if Ben was canadian(i dunno if he is) but if he is that's ok I hope this post will be quoted and untampered with in someone of your sigs.And when did ythis become a Canadian Hater Thread????? I'm actually not quite sure to who he refers as Canadian hater. But yeah, not political discussion is a better idea

Going back to the original subject...

I am left handed as well. I use my right hand for some things though, like throwing things and using a mouse. I think I would've been right handed had it not been for the fact that I was born with an extra thumb connected to the side of my right thumb. They had it removed, of course. But there is still a hard bump on the side of my thumb which prevents it from bending. So writing and stuff would be difficult.
