You used the words "safe" and "overdose" in the same sentence. You realize, by definition, an overdose is in no way safe? No matter what you're overdosing on, it's still overdosing, although in the long-term, i suppose OD'ing with caffeine wouldn't form as dangerous of an addiction as other drugs, in the short-term, you could potentially die. I used to be interested in caffeine based 'highs' until one of my fellow students was hospitalized trying it.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

People today ARE addicted to caffeine, so if you want to harm yourself, be my guest, and do it.

Agreed completely. Personally, I'm against ANY illegal drug use, only the weakest of people would need such crap in their systems to be happy or have a "good time".

That being said, I like my caffeine, but an overdose? Are you just stupid? During exams last year, I got fairly jacked up on the stuff for late nights and study sessions, it's not a good idea. When I went to martial arts tournaments actively, I used to drink a lot of energy drinks before fights for increased reflexes, and while it improved my performance, my heart rate afterwards was very unsafe. So no, don't be a retard. Take caffeine RESPONSIBLY, as with every other state-altering substance.

if you want to talk about a safe high, marijuana is probably as safe as it get. I'm pretty sure that no one has ever died from too much marijuana and it hasn't been proven to cause long-term side-effects.

then again, marijuana is also illegal and users are still being persecuted for their relatively harmless choice.

by the way, this is coming from someone who does not use non-alcoholic drugs.

Gulp down 347.91 cans of Dr Pepper and you're history.
I think I'd puke if I drank that many Dr. Peppers( and be pissed cause I wasted them.)

But dude seriously, why would you want to overdose on CAFFEINE!?! Thats just a plain stupid idea

Im all for experimenting with various substances but im also the first person who will tell you to BE CAREFUL, when dealing with abusing any type of substance or doing any illicit drugs RESEARCH, learn every single possible thing you can about the substance, possible side effects and health risks, dosage information EVERYTHING and just be careful, even caffiene can be dangerous in large enough ammounts!

just FYI officially i do not condone abusing any substance or using illicit drugs especially irrisponsibly! and as to MDMA if you buy it off the street try to have a way to check it out, 9 times out of 10 what people are selling as MDMA ISNT, could be anything from caffiene to meth! no, i dont know this from experience but i do know people who know this kind of thing lol

Drugs suck, the only reason I drink caffeinated drinks is because I like the taste (of the drink, not the caffiene) . Once I drank like 3 liters of vault though, and let me tell you. It was not fun, first I felt like I was going to throw up, then my hands started shaking like crazy and my legs felt super tired. Then I got really light headed and I fell down a couple of times. And I'm a pretty big kid too (6' 4" 230 pounds) So some of you smaller kids probably shouldn't try that...

Everybody Chill. I was just wondering, and apparently a few have. As for drug alternatives, many are actually pretty fun.

But enough about that, feel free to lock! (I promise this will be the last experimental drug thread of mine on benheck)

You took the words right out of my mouth, ian2120.

I have my coffee in the morning and maybe some at lunch and I'm set for the day. I don't see how you kids can guzzle Vault and Red Bull all day.

INB4LOCK!

In my opinion, too much of everything is bad. It may be good for you in small amounts, too much of it is bad. That applies for all "good" things.

Pot may be "good" and "harmless" but too much could affect your head. The smoke, for one, deprives oxygen to your brain. NOT GOOD.

Though I like Coca-Cola and Iced Tea for the taste, not the "caffeine kick."

you know, even too much water can kill you. One woman died trying to win a Wii in a water-drinking competition from water-poisoning.

Further proves my point: Too much of good is bad.

I heard of it on engadget. Poor person. :(

its just that the body is meant to operate in certain condidtions. it wasn't that she had too much water, its that she had too much water proportional to other substances. they say that this wouldn't have happened if they were drinking gatorade because the other stuff in there would've helped to keep the chemical ratios in line.

Yeah it can also happen to runners who drink too much water. Not enough electrolytes and such, but they don't feel dehydrated.
