Post by samus »

so i've been averaging about 15 miles each week walking/jogging. and i'm getting bored with my play list.

i was wondering what you all suggest for workout music?

here's my playlist so far:
bamboo banga - MIA
robot rock/oh yeah - daft punk
touch it/technologic daft punk
television rules the nation/crescendolls - daft punk
too long/steam machine - daft punk
around the world/harder, better, faster, stronger - daft punk
harder, better, faster, stronger - daft punk
superheroes - daft punk
we like to party - vengaboys
imagine - armin van buuren
tocas miracle - fragma
walk the edge - alex m.o.r.p.h.
rehab (remix) - pharoahe monch
walk it out - dj unk
stronger - kanye west
flashing lights - kanye west
untrust us - crystal castles

i'm not asking you to make fun of my music or start a flame war about preferences. i just want to know what you guys would add or take away from my list.

*Just kidding about that last one! (Although that is an awesome song!)
Some metal would be good, but think epic!

LOL. I was very much agreeing on the first 2 and then bruce hornsby and the range i thought "yeah nice". No, wait, workout-music. Totally fell for it ;D

My recommendations much in line with the above two:
dr. alban - its my life
the power - snap
don't go - yazoo

and what works for me but i doubt it'd work for a lot more, stuff like
live - run to the water

Chiptune is great for workouts, especially if you're a jogger; it's got an upbeat, fast pace, and a constant rhythm. I jog to "Hey Kate", I think at my height it's about a 6MPH pace, and a 7 minute song. So I listen to it about 8.6 times for my run. :P

I'm not trying to rag on your taste in music but that is probably the worst song i've ever heard.

Nonpoint is good crap to work out to imo, Endure, Tribute, Bullet With A Name, Everybody Down, Explain Myself, Side With The Guns... they will do fine.
