It's horrible. One of my friends OD'ed (which wasn't an accident) and was in hospital. When I was telling people and asking for help I was conviced they weren't there for me and flipped. A couple of my closest friends actually started to become scared I was going to go with him...

sorry for the sob story I just decided to add that :S

That totally blows. If I can offer any advice at all, it is to crank up some heavy metal musics and co crazy. The louder the better--and sing along as much as you can too!

Some suggested songs:

Metallica - Fade to Black
*Iced Earth - Watching Over Me
Megadeth - A Tout Le Monde
Armored Saint - Another Day
Black Sabbath - Solitude
Demons & Wizards - Fiddler on the Green
Judas Priest - Beyond the realms of Death

*this tune is highly reccomended for your case!

These are some of the ballad-esque tunes that help me feel better when I'm feeling down. Most of these tunes start sad, but then get really powerful.
Just remember to play them as loud as you can, and sing along!

If you can't find any of these tunes and want to listen, I'll gladly send you a copy of each (I own every album those tracks are from--so it'll be high quality too!)

To quote the great Yoda (actually, whoever wrote the line), "Death is a natural part of life."

So you're father may be gone physically, but he lives on in you, and in memories. So he's not completely gone...and, if you believe in it, he is alive in some other way (in Heaven, or reincarnated, or whatever).

My condolences for your loss, though :( ...
