I got an original GBA a few years ago, came with tetris... used it twice...
I though of buying a flashcart, for homebrew (ofcourse) but the GBA's lightless screen is unusable anyway so I forgot about it.
I also recieved a Mattel JuiceBox a while ago, and it's completely* useless.
*I use it for battery storage
BUT, it does have a backlit LCD that has the same reselution as a GBA (240x160) The screen is 68x49 mm and 5mm thick including the backlight. The actual viewing area is 58x39mm. (Dont have the GBA on me so i cant compare).
Now for the options:
Full swap: The juicebox has a ribbon with 22 wires. The GBA has (fill in the blank) wires. Doesnt mean anything but who knows. Possible?
Backlight only: Remove GBA screen, peel off (?) back reflective layer without damaging the polerizer, add backlight. Risky?
Thoughts? Links? Donations?
BTW, I'm a 3rd year EE student, so I have no practical knowlage at all.
