Where do I buy clear special light transmitting plexiglass?

Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.

...Buy some regular perspex, finely sand it down in one direction on one side (VERY FINELY), and add LED's going into the side, also sanded.

The material that was used for frontlighting the Gba Sp and the Afterburner is not readily available and can't be reproduced.

It was a special plastic with fine angled grooves cut into it at regular intervals. Then the Led would shine on the side and the angled grooves would evenly distribute the light over the whole screen.

It has to be special ordered and manufactured according to screen size and the amount of light needed and used.

Sanding a piece of perspex won't work.
