I read where the analog stick was to far from the D-Pad and I don't want that, I was going to tell whoever decided to commission it to fix that issue. It seems like all you've done since you got on this thread is bash me, if you're not going to add some helpful advice WITHOUT being a douche, please get off my thread.

Thanks for everyone's input so far, PM me if interested!
well, if you don't like how some of the other portables are made, then how about you make your own?

I have actually thought about doing that, I just don't know if I have quite the knowledge of circuit theory and/or experience to do it... I don't know much about the cores of the systems yet either, but I am eager to research, which I have been doing lately.. Also, I would make an SNES before PsOne, much easier it seems..

And lovablechevy, I'm sorry.. I have been really stressed and bogged down lately, I have really hard classes and it's my first semester in college and I didn't mean to be ill with you like that, I apologize, thanks for your input and help..

Does anyone know where I could find a tutorial for an SNES using the ZN-40 case like Life of Brian's black one and white one? I would love to attempt building one if I had a walkthrough or something at least for the first one I do, I just need a build log from start to finish, detailed, with pics..

Again, sorry for the explosion guys, that was my bad..

Thanks again,

Trevor

EDIT: I fixed that post, hope that helps somewhat :(

snes... great system to work with! i don't know if there is a complete walkthrough, perse... however, i do have some good news! :D if you are good at combining different guides together to get what you want, then there is help. first off, if you haven't already, you should buy ben's book. it has quite a few pictures in it and very detailed instructions. this will be very helpful for the electronics side of the portable.

if you want to make the case with the zn-40, you can pool the know-how from Life of Brian's threads, G-force's playmad, and my HandyDuo. there are also a few others who have used the zn-40, but i don't recall if they go into as much detail about what to do.

if after looking over all that stuff, you still have any questions about anything, that's what we're all here for! Image

hope this helps!
they call me the Queen of Bondo, though maybe i should be called the Queen of Epoxy Putty

Sounds good, I'll start researching, oh by the way.. I never do see on any of the builds where they list what type of speakers they use, what do you recommend? I like decent audio, I know it's tiny crap speakers but, some sound quality would be nice though

well, that kinda depends on your placement and how much room you have. most of us just use the speakers that come with the psone screen/zenith screen. i know G-force needed to use hip gear screens due to lack of space. both of these types of speakers have pretty good quality.

One day I might take on modding full time, but I'm committed to finishing college first. You're in luck though - it's my last year.
