First of all, I don't know if this belongs in this form or the GC one, so since it's a gameboy, I'll put it here. Mods feel free to move it...
I have a game boy player unit and would like to know how it works. If I wanted to, would I be able to utilize it as a stand-alone device? Anybody have any technical resources related to this device?

I have messed around with it a bit.
You can overclock it, for one.
Unfortunately, the gameboy player hands over the handling of the controller interface and the video/sound lines to the GC. If you are looking for tv out from a gameboy, you would have a much easier time building a video decoder for it (Several people have done so, I believe. Not sure if it was a hardware or software decoder.)
