windows radio recording

i have the cords set up from my radio to my computer, i want to switch to windows but i need a program that will record it for free?

Audacity can record from line-in. I'm too lazy to find a link, but Google will find it for you.

Audacity. It can record from the microphone port, line in, or even the audio your sound card is producing. (I've backed up several tapes and LPs with it.) The only catch is you have ot add the LAME .dll yourself to export MP3s, but it's a brain-dead easy process. (Copy the file where they tell you to.)
