High school sports predicament...

Post by ValiantVenality »

Hey guys! I'm in a huge predicament... Okay heres the deal. This is my first year of high school. I do wrestling. I did wrestling the entire summer. Now I am not very interested in it, so I really want to play football. I totallly suck, but I want to become good and go to a camp or two. I cant join this year anyways because try outs and season already started. Now heres the predicament part. Everyone knows me as the kid who rarely finishes much. I always say I'm going to start to do something and then barely follow through. Now if I quit wrestling everyones going to be like, man you didnt follow through with that either. And if I do football theyre gonna be like, I bet your going to quit that too. So what in the world should I do???

If you still care what people think, you could finish wrestling this year, and then do football next year. Then you at least stick with wrestling for the season, they can't really call you a quitter if you do that.

Well, you should do what you want to do and not care what other people think. But since you asked..

I think that you should stick out wrestling the rest of this year. This way, you'll be in shape, stay in shape, and get a bit stronger too. You'll have much more stamina than anyone else on the football team, and you'll be able to say that you finished something. :P Then once football comes, youll be in shape, ready to start learning.

I agree. people who conform are losers...When I stopped caring about what other people thought, my life got a hell of a lot better, and my friends respected me a lot more. I found out who my real friends were, too.

Not disagreeing or anything, but reading your post I just thought of this. If you don't "conform" aren't you being like everyone else who isn't conforming, and therefore, conforming with them? rofl

Wow, its been a long time since I posted, but I thought I might as well start again (I wanna make a gcp so I'll be hanging around here again)
Anyways, why not do both. On my football team, there are like 6 or 7 people who do both. Its great cross training for both. Wrestling is great for endurance and strength, and football is great for speed and explosiveness.
