for the past few days i have been attempting to run xbmc as the main dashboard with x2 3981.06 bios and im about to throw my xbox out the window...
basically what i have been able to do so far is flash the tosp and i am comfortable with soft modding as on another xbox i had xbmc running as an app but not a dash
so what i want to know is how to run xbmc with a flashed tosp so i dont need the disk drive and i can upgrade the hdd. i have spent the last week searching the net and i cant seem to find anything that fits together or outright say what i need...
if someone can direct me to a tutorial or pm me to talk on aim or something of the such would be really cool
looking for experienced xbox softmoder/tosp flasher

I have softmodded a couple of xboxs but I have not done anything like what you want to do.
What I can suggest you do is go over to the xbox scene forums. Those guys know everything there is about xbox modding and I know there have been a couple of projects over there that have done what you want to do. The xbox mini doesn't have a DVD drive and it has and upgraded HDD.
Good luck.

just replace the XBE file of your current dashboard with the XBMC xbe through ftp (just pick a new t3ch build off the usual places)
it's not like the file is in use so you can just overwrite it and all, and even if you do it wrong (not copying all the files over), the XBMC executable will detect that and run just a ftp server so you cant really fubar it

will unleash work with x2 3981.06 bios cause when i tried to install evox and now it wont boot a dash. if not is a bios that works with a it?zzattack wrote:Ah sorry, I thought u had an exploit running already..
if ur using a game save exploit package like krayzies just install unleash, ftp in and replace the dashboard files (i think /D/dash/)
