iMac G3 problem
i have an old iMac G3 DV. I got it for $50 and its the only mac i have.
It originaly came with Mac OS 9. I felt Mac OS 9 was outdated. So i friend gave me a copy of Mac OS 10.2. But heres my problem everytime i go to fire up a program it just quits on me.
I upgraded the ram to 128mb as it had on 64mb im not quiet sure what the processor is running at but i think its 350 mHz.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like you could use more RAM. (The DV 350 special edition can take up to a gig.) It should take regular PC100 SDRAM.
If you can, error-check the hard drive. It could be failing. (And it couldn't hurt to check a nearly 10 year old drive anyway.) You could also try reinstalling OS X.

The pins are completely different in size, and the power is delivered through the same ribbon as data. You need an adapter, into which you plug the 3.5" IDE connector, power connector, and the 2.5" drive.

You can probably overclock it to 400 or 450 mhz; more than that might get too hot.
Yes, you can. You just have to get an adapter like this one, and come up with some way to mount it.Kazaryster wrote:Also can i put a 2.5" hard drive in it because i have an 80gb 2.5 and that would be a huge step from 10gb
