I haven't gotten Last Chance to see either yet, but Dirk Gently, the Salmon of Doubt, and the Meaning of Liff were all hilarious too, I agree.Gamelver wrote:oh yeah, and everything else Douglas Adams has ever written. Dirk Gently books, articles and speeches, The Meaning of Liff, and...Last Chance to See....haven't read that last one, but I'd like to.
If anyone here has not read the HHGG books you'll be banned. Read them, now!

as in theirs more than 3 books![]()
I believe the correct term would be "The Hitchhiker Cycle"
If the author calls it a trilogy, it's a trilogy. The novels are described as "a trilogy in five parts", having been described as a trilogy on the release of the third book, and then a "trilogy in four parts" on the release of the fourth book. The US edition of the fifth book was originally released with the legend "The fifth book in the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Trilogy" on the cover. Subsequent re-releases of the other novels bore the legend "The [first, second, third, fourth] in the increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's trilogy". In addition, the blurb on the fifth book humorously describes the book as "the book that gives a whole new meaning to the word 'trilogy'".
It was different, but I enjoyed it. The script was written by Douglas Adams, and if you've read the books and seen the TV show or heard the radio play, you'd know he changes things around to best fit the medium. I think the movie fit well in the short-scifi-comedy niche and came off well.khaag wrote:But the movie sucked BALLS.Gamelver wrote:The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy.
