This really is a last resort but im just about at my wits end. My laser is making a ticking noise(trying to focus and resetting itself rapidly). Ive tried a different laser, same problem, tried pot tweaks, same problem.
Anyone else encountered this before I throw it at the wall????

Re: Gamecube laser ticking noise???
Oh, its the laser that makes that sound? when ever my gamecube is about to freeze (yes, I can tell you when it freezes before it happens), I hear something sliding and clicking several times before the screen goes blank and tells me there was an error.techknott wrote:This really is a last resort but im just about at my wits end. It was reading them when i had it all out of the casing(laid out on the desk). When i put it all inside, thats when it happened. The funny thing is that when I swap the laser over, it would read them a couple of times and then do the same again. Now though its just doing it constantly.
Ive been at it ages now and im really looking forward to stamping on it and just buy another cube next week.
