Ok as many of you know my camcorder and Windows XP don't get along. I've got some footage from the Woodward Dream Cruise that I want off but can't. This time Windows is mounting it as a removable drive.
So as I'm not a real Windows person can anyone tell me how to change it so that Windows will mount it as camera?

Well, its mounting it as a Drive due to the camera having some type of HDD or storage device. Your appropriate movies and such will be in that "removable drive".
If it was to show up as a webcam, it would act as a webcam or some type of photo device. So, windows is doing what its supposed to.
Plug it in, go to the removable drive, click the icon and find your file.
Good luck.

@HDC, it's a good old Mini DV, so no it's not that. I need it to be seen as a camera so I can pull the video off it. Otherwise all I get is an icon that that has no volume size.
@Vskid, I have the camcorder pulled into a USB hub (might be a problem) and I set the camcorder's setting to "PC". There's nothing else I can do.. save for maybe use the firewire port, but never had any luck with that one.
