I read Empire for the same reason (Ender's Game is my fav book of all time), but didn't like it. It's toted as being a realistic possibility of civil war within the U.S. but I found it pretty unrealistic.xtrmgam3r360 wrote:im currently readin Empire by Orson Scott Card, just because the other book by him that I read (Ender's Game) was simply AMAZING.
I read Deception Point by Dan Brown not too long ago and I was pretty impressed. Has to do with a meteorite found with fossils of life in it and a government conspiracy hiding the truth about it.
I have a whole shelf devoted to Stephen Kingthemadhacker wrote:Christine. the best stephen king novel imo. dead zone's good too. about to start tommyknockers.
Best ones IMO are the Bachman Books, especially "The Long Walk". Also Different Seasons, from which the films "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Stand by Me" were based on. And his prime full length novel is his first, "Carrie".
He does have a problem ending his books though sometimes especially with "The Tommyknockers", "It" and "Needful Things"

Dude my little bro has Aspergers Syndrome, he has gotten into reading those Naruto Graphic novels lately, he is going through them pretty fast, but those are not really booksbacteria wrote:I don't read books, period - I have mild Aspergers Syndrome; my mind wanders as I read something, don't take it in, forget in a matter of minutes the bulk of what I have read; so no point reading anything but short articles!
I Don't read at all, I have only finished 2 books in my whole life, Jurassic Park(only cause I had ISS, or In School Suspension, and I was really bored and loved the movie, book is like 10x better than the movie), and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
and I listened to all of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on Tape (all the CD copies were borrowed from the library)
I blame ADD for me not reading books

Has anyone here read anything by R.A. salvatore? They are some of my favorite books ever. If anyone wants to buy/borrow I have pretty much everything about the dark elf dude.

Dune series = Great.
House of Leaves is nice. I lack the mental capacity to describe it further.
Artemis Fowl is good for those with lackluster reading talents, my friend finished it, was able to enjoy it, too. I was surprised since he has problems with reading books, probably related to Aspergers.

Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.
I'm ADD; If its a really engaging book then I don't have problems. If its really good, I can get through it. I haven't read too much lately, though. not an ADD thing, just haven't pulled one out.SonyPortableizer wrote:That quote should go down in HistoryI blame ADD for me not reading books
