WTB/T: Empty SNES case - !!!URGENT!!!

Post by HBN »

NOT mini, and in VERY good condition (Externally. Internally doesn't much matter how good it looks, as long as its structurally sound for what I need.). Mainly buy, because all I have to trade is my talent as an artist. Which I don't know if anybody would be interested in.

But I wanted an empty case so I can hack together a hard drive case with it and have my name forever etched into ultimate Retro-Nerddom by doing it with a console's previous casing.

I don't know how much they go for, though. Obviously, with money so short, and so many half-finished projects because of that, I'd prefer free +shipping. But I doubt I'm that lucky.

It'd look cool as hell next to the pseudo-solid state HD I built out of a N64 cart....

I dunno if a mini is big enough. The current case the drive is in is about 6.75" wide, 10.25" long, and 2.25" high. Its an old unit (Upgradable unit that allows you to turn internal drive to external...I think its max size if 500 gig), so thats why its so big. but I haven't used anything thats as reliable.

I can prolly get the guts (Adapter card that turns it from IDE, to USB 2.0), cooling fan, power supply, 120 gig 5 1/2" bay hard drive) to be smaller. A lot smaller in one or more directions, I'd guess. But I don't know, right now.

Glad you like the idea, Doc. I didn't search around to come up with this, so I don't know how original it is. Most likely, not very. But still cool, I think

Just a quick update on the internal size of the drive.

I gotta tell you that there is a TON of wasted space in here. I can cut down a lot. A least to three-quarters to five-eighths of its original size. I don't understand why its got all this space. I'll have no problem at all fitting this in a SNES case.

Still looking. Not to be a nag, but I am in a bit of a hurry to get this done. Thanks.
