gaming armchair

i am going to be making a gaming armchair and i want a screen built in the arm. i have a portable dvd player which i would like to use as the screen i shall be playing my consoles on but i dont no if i am able to use it.

the portable dvd player has

A/V OUT, A/V IN, and S-VIDEO

will this be any good??

and if so what consoles am i able to use???

It has AV in so yep

And console wise, any console you can hook up to it. I'm guessing it has composite video in and S video. Means basically any console can be hooked up as long as it outputs a composite or S Video signal.

what are the cables/wires that i need to purchase to hook it up

Use the composite cables that came with your console. they should look like this

the dvd player then should've came with the correct cable/adapter.

i dont have as this ws given to me because it dont read dvd's anymore so is there a cable/wire i can get and if so what one

You would want to use this cable if your cables coming from the console are male connectors.

Off topic: Are you from the Nashville Tennessee area. I was looking around the craigslist there just too see if there are better deals there than my local Craigslist. And someone was wanting portable DVD players that have problems but still have their screen working and has video in. Was that you?
