Does anyone else get PM Inbox Spam?

Post by Aguiluz »

Am I the only one who gets this or do we have a new generation of Spambots?

EDIT: Peeinc? PissInc more like.

Weird. At first I thought it would have been a human, but then I realized it can look at the member list or the list of online users.

The next question is (if it's affecting multiple users), how do we fix it?

None here, but I often wondered when it'd start.

I wouldn't expect a bot to know the difference. I don't know too much about the bot/forum coding, but I would guess that maybe it uses thread subscription to find out if anyone/who posted in their thread and then sends an automated PM to them.

I dont think this is a bot.... Remeber, it has posted several things in the trading post with the proper "WTS" titles, and I doubt there are bots that smart.

WTS is a common abberviation, I've seen bots use them in other places that don't use 'em.
