Chinese music? Didn't know it existed...

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

Well, I just started Mandarin Chinese classes at a community college after school, and from the advice everyone gave me was to watch old kung fu movies with subs and listen to Chinese pop music to start picking up pronunciation. Well, I have no clue where to start finding any good songs. I literally listen to everything under the sun, and a lot of J-Pop and J-Rock included, is that what Chinese music is like, or what? I doubt anyone here listens to this kinda stuff, but if you have any recommendations, please let me know. I've got no clue where to start looking!

I don't know any Chinese bands, but Herman Li is from Hong Kong.

And on the J-pop note, do you happen to listen to Galneryus?

Jackie Chan sings. He's pretty good too.
