Today while I was pondering what the power output of the Genesis 2 A/C adapter was, I had a brianstorm: lets make a list of ALL the A/C adapters for ALL consoles listing the A/C adapter model number, power input and output, compatible consoles (including unnofficial "make due" situations like Nintendo power adapters on a Sega console, etc.). Also, perhaps list minimum power requirements for consoles if they can be run on less than the included power adapter supplies for those looking for 3rd party replacement adapters. Unfortunately, I can't contribute yet because I have been evacuated to Houston because of hurricane Gustov, but lets get this going so everyone can remember exactly what power supply to track down for their JVC X'Eye and so we can put to rest the question of "Is the Sega CD and Genesis model 1 power supply the same?" Also, moderators feel free to edit this post to add in new power supplies to the list. Oh, and one more thing, CONSOLES AND HANDHELDS ONLY! no computers, TVs, or other miscellaneous devices, only video game consoles and handhelds!

Ive never really seen an adapter that doesn't have all that information written right on it.
All you really need is the voltage input for the console (which is usually written on the console) and you can figure out what kind of adapter you can use. Theres a post near the top that has a list of all the voltages

wow, miss the point much? First of all, if someone already had an original A/C adapter they wouldn't need to utilize such a thread now would they? Second of all, this is meant to help people complete their eBayed systems to OEM specs (original A/C adapter) or for those interested in portablizing to know what kind of power adapter the system was designed to handle. I know this is a portable making forum, but many people come here with tech questions as well and I think there should be an index so people know which adapter to hunt down to have a complete system using OEM hookups.timmeh87 wrote:Ive never really seen an adapter that doesn't have all that information written right on it.

Here is my thread:

Instead of asking others to post the specs I researched it all myself. >_>
