I just despise weddings because they're huge displays of ego. With marriage now having the lifespan of a mayfly, what's the point?

Our wedding wont be a display of ego. We both HATE the huge wedding theme. Flowers die. Dresses rip. Cakes spoil. So why spend more on a wedding then you would on a luxury car? No lie; its gonna be bare-bones simple. Yet still classy, and respectful.

You misunderstand the words "Wedding" and "Ritual", I think. The wedding is nothing more or less than the bonding of two people. The ritual costs an assload and is a giant pissing contest of "Mines bigger than yours! PWNEDZED!!!".
