Possible meetup - Freak Fest '08, Madison, WI, 11/1/2008

Hi all,

At MGC last year, a few people mentioned that it was too bad that these get-togethers only happened once a year. I was obviously in full agreement of that, and quickly thought about the Halloween party that takes place in Madison, WI every year. I was at this last year, and it was truly amazing. The costumes were ridiculously creative, from Mario and Luigi (maybe Peach) to a group with the King, Ronald McDonald, the Colonel, and Wendy. The streets are lined with these people. I found this one place about 12 miles away, with suites running fairly cheap, that I think would be good for cramming a bunch of people in like MGC last year. I can pick people up from the airport, and suggest people try http://www.kayak.com if that's what you'd like to look into. It may also be cheaper to fly to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport, in which case I can work something out so you could get to my place (I'm about 100 miles out from there) and you'd ride with me to Madison. I was thinking that the meetup would be best if going from 10/31-11/2.

If anyone is seriously interested in this, send me a PM. I'll let you know at some time or another if this might actually happen.

I lived in Madison for a few years, and I don't think I saw anything like that.

I don't think I'll be able to go.

I've got enough for only one pre-MGC trip, and I'm pretty sure I'll be going to MAGFest in January. It's more of an obligation, though Warpath TV will have a booth set up that I'll be at.

Sorry spongey but Going to Anime expo with Triton, Skylar and the others bank rupted me. it will be a miracle if I can make MGC. My $500 dropped to $300. Oh well that is still months off.
