I'm new to the whole modding scene and was looking for a simple project to work on. While at a friend's house, he had an old PSOne LCD (Sony brand) that he said didn't work. I hooked it up to his PSOne and sure enough, got nothing. No sound, no video; however, when I connected through the LCD to a TV in the room, the picture showed up fine on the TV. Is there anyway to fix this or would I be better off trying to find a new LCD? Thanks in advance!
I haven't found a post with common fuse problems in these Sony LCD screens, does anyone know which fuses generally cause problems and where they're located so I can try jumping them? Much appreciated
This isn't going to be too helpful, but there's a fuse ben talks about in his book that he says may get blown and you have to just put some solder on it to fix it. I can't find the link to the picture.
Any body else know what I'm talking about and can help?
Oh good, I ordered the book but I'm impatient and wanted to jump right in. Even if this screen doesn't work I'm going to try to pick up another and continue the process.
On the bottom left on the front of the ps1 board there will be a SMD that will not conduct at all. When you find it bridge it. If you want try and get a rough idea of where it is by having a look at on of my pictures of my portable but you'll have to look for it because I'm too tired to be bothered
