Alright, I'll try and sum this up.
I recently bought a psp-2001 which came with 3.90 OFW with the intention of installing an M33 firmware onto it. I didn't have a CFW psp to make a pandora battery with, so I used PSP grader to make a magic memory stick and bought a Datel HotWire from Amazon. However, when I put the hotwire in, I get no life at all, no blinking/solid power light or anything. I've tried different batteries and in different ways and I can't get anything to make it power up. And, I don't want to hard mod my only battery. Any suggestions before I return the HotWire?
Also, the HotWire is not defective, as I tried it quickly in a friend's fat PSP, and it booted it right up into service mode. I've tried padding out the contacts with aluminium foil, tried running it off AC adaptor and inserting it, which just turns the battery info screen blank. If all fails, I'm going to use it on my friend's fat to install CFW, then pandorize his battery and use it to install CFW to my slim. It's just a bit of a bummer as I wanted to keep it as a permanent Pandora battery incase I ever needed one.
Anybody got any ideas as to what to try?
Thanks
