Can you split an FC twin into NES and SNES portions?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Can you split an FC twin into NES and SNES portions?

Post by palmertech »

I have been thinking of building an SNES portable. Assuming I can get my FC twin fixed, is it possible to remove the NOAC portion from the SNES portion and get them working separately? I only want SNES on this portable, but it seems like a waste to just throw away the NES portion instead of saving it for another portable. Any thoughts?

You'd need another controller interface for the NES, since you'd be using it in your SNES portable. I don't know if one from a different NOAC would work or not.

Never thought of that... I wish it was possible, but it looks like it may require sacrificing another NOAC. If so, no real benefit.
