Can i Use a Psp slim/2000 lcd to MOD mi Ps2¿?¿?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Nope, you can't without an adapter way more expensive and harder to find than a PSOne screen.

Lineclip - the adapter he is talking about does not come with the PSP.

There is an adapter that lets the PSP screen be used for stuff other than the PSP. It is expensive and hard to find. Again, it does not come with the PSP - it is not a part of the PSP. It's a separate thing.

Does that help?

Yes, it is. Normally, the PSP screen takes digital RGB and consoles output analog RGB, but it's possible to get the PSP screen to take RGB from a console if you convert the signal with a Sony DAC.

That has no backlight. My solution is probably better, besides, the PS2 has a lot of problems with RGB.

An LED mod or EL tube insertion wouldn't be tough. Though I must say, if presented with the option, I'd use Palmertech's option. I'm operating under the assumption that this guy already has a PSP LCD...

in fact.. my problem is the SIZE of the psOne screen.. the circle SHape and the audio sistem ( that is changeable by a small one )

but if screen is too small.. the fidelity of a ps2 is gone..
games like FFX or KH maybe imposible to play..

but TKX ALL for these solutions

good luck!!!

Sounds like the OP has had his question answered , but just a note... The PSP lcd without the backlight is just that, an LCD. So to LED mod it, you would have to fabricate a lightbox, diffuser plastic, and LED assembly. It would be hard to do, easier to just spend the extra $10 or so and get one with it pre installed.

The Ps2 board is bigger than the psone screen, so size really shouldn't be an issue for you.

It'll still need an adapter, if you can even find one that is compatible.

Best of luck with that. There's only video out of the 3000, not in, last I heard.
