As far as I know, there are only 2 screens designed solely for the Gamecube. One by Intec, and one by Zenith. The Intecs are worthless, so yes, the Zenith is your best bet.

Shop around though.

Yes that would be the best for the Gamecube.

Extremely stupid question

Does it plug in the back of the GC like the designated powercord or does it have to have its own plug?

It plugs into the back of the Gamecube, and it has a separate plug for the Gamecube power adapter. Only one wall plug needed.
