The most I've seen anybody doing here is a SNESP

old pic, had everything done but power circuit and audio amp. plenty of people have done gamecube and other more complicated systems than snes (n64, dreamcast, xbox, sega saturn, ps2 ETC)

just a brief update... i really don't know if i'm gonna manage to get this thing put together in time. but i am gonna give it my best!!

anti-glare sheet romoval:

check!

top and bottom pieces:

check!

i just basically started on the electronics tonight... as long as everything goes smoothly (which is not usually my luck), i should be fine. the case simply needs some clear coats to protect it.

Good stuff. This compo is getting fun....

I bought another couple of GB carts today, so I have about 7 or so for portablizing. Spent some time last night getting the Namco into a tiny space, did a good job. Once the covers are on and painted it will be posted here. Artwork is done for this game cart. Cart is only 95mm x 55mm x 18mm; twice the height of a GB cart and half as long again - about 30% smaller than a MegaDrive (Genesis) cart. Expect a pic tomorrow...

Rekarp, what kind of laquer are you using? Is that the out-of-the can finish on it, or do you buff it with really fine steel wool?

yep! 4 years 3 months and counting! and the 39th person to join to boot

ive done snes, n64 gamecube psone and messed around a bit with a few other systems

Haha, Same here. All of my portables are gone. This is why I need inspiration to make a SNES portable and keep it working.

Triton, I seem to recall a couple of years ago your GCp was a full-sized GC console with a nice looking case top on top with the screen and controls. In the pic it looks like a full sized GC cube under the screen and controls again, is it, or is this one not bulky and skillfully made slim??

the one you are thinking of was made my enterthehatrix IIRC, mine is almost 2 inches thinner than a stock gamecube (comes in at appx 3" thick)

Both actually. I use Watco Spray on Lacquer. Its the best of the best when it comes to a spray on finish. I like the Gloss and Semi-gloss finishes.

This is a similar technique.
