get it done quick? or get it done looking nice?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

I'm making an N64 portable for my first try (like many). I've got about every part I need and have the screen complete and cart slot removed and reattached...

but now I'm at the hardest part. I can't go any further until I figure out what to do about a case and what features it should have. I kinda want to just cut everything out so I can get it done with the basics and then churn out a quick case for it. but I also want to strive to have a really nice N64p.

So what's better, taking the time to make it have all the features and look nice or just get my first out of the way and it look like one of SS's?

Take your time it will be well worth it.

That's why my first MAJOR portable is taking a while. I want it to look good so that I'm not ashamed to show it off :)

Go for a good case. You will feel much better showing it off to your friends.

If you have a good case they will most likely say "dang thats awesome"

If you have a bad case they will most likely say "WTF is that?"

Trust me, I have gotten both comments after showing off my first portable (ps1) and my newest (snes)

that sucks, but very true. As much as we admire the hard work that goes into making a portable, nobody else will appreciate it unless it looks top notch. much like the L64.

I guess that means it'll be longer until you guys see pictures of mine then. :( I have plastic coming my way right now for a vacuum formed case. And I don't plan on going half way either. If chips are visible or cuts are uneven, then it won't work for me.
