non responsive snes controller

I hooked a thumbstick up to a snes controller I found today, and after a long time I finally had it all soldered in place, but the I remembered that this controller was broken. the controller is completly non responsive when plugged into my snes and I have tried using cords from another controller which I know works, but my controller is still non responsive.

I may have fried it when putting on the thumbstick, but please post other suggestions because it didn't work even before the thumbstick.

did you put the required resistence on the thumbstick?

Sounds like the 4021's pooped on yah. Does it have the ICs inside or a glob top. If its a glob then your screwed.

If it has the IC chip in it, and you'd like another, let me know. I've got a mobo with broken traces, but the chip works perfectly.
