Power Question

Sorry for asking I just couldnt clearly find what I needed. I have a 2000 mah Ni-Cd rechargeable rc battery from radio-shack. When i first got it it was able to power my N64 but now when I turn it on the tv goes black but the red led doesnt go on so im thinking i dont have a strong enough battery to support my N64, then when back on the original power cord it turns on fine. Any suggegtions on what I should do?

Ive tried that multiple times and the tv starts out static before i turn it on because thats just that channel then when i turn it on it stops hissing static and goes black but nothing more than that. maybe my battery is faulty? maybe my dc-dc convertor is damaged?

You are using Ni-Cd batteries which can't supply the amps needed for a N64. Try a lithium or N0-Mh batteries.

You could have killed the N64 to.....

So you think an Ni- Mh around 3000 something mah battery should do the trick and supply enough amps to power it and give decent play time. Im pretty sure i didnt fry it because I switched back to outlet power and played battle tanks for a while
