Resurrecting a DS

Post by Super Cameraman »

I have an original DS that I've been modding into a Guitar Hero controller, but took a long break from it because the DS won't power on. When I press the power button, the screen blinks and it turns off. There are no fuses so that's not the problem (or that could be the problem) but the wifi antenna broke off, and I'm not sure how to put it back on. Does anyone have any pictures of a working DS for reference? I think that is the problem because I remember that if I unplug it, it doesn't power on, but now it's plugged in, but it's not working.

I think he was using the phat, and pictures of the main board I'm guessing to compare his with.

Haha, this happens with the SD lite too, check all the connections for screens, wifi, stuff like that. if some piece of hardware is not responding when it turns on, it shutsdown to keep from frying something.

Oops, forgot about this thread.

The wifi antenna broke. I probably need a new one.
