I found my Model M keyboard. Great piece of equipment.

Other things include:

My 17" LCD monitor
A Powerbook G4
A PowerBook G3
2 NES controllers
15 NES games
A Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
Macintosh Classic
Box of 500 floppy disks
A floppy drive
A Zip drive
A crate of iBooks
2 working Wii remotes

I wonder if you guys realise that salvaging things you find comes under the category of "theft by finding"? It does in the UK anyway, and you can get arrested for it and a criminal record! :roll:

I get my stuff from cheap car boot sales; including some old electronics boards; plus ones I have from broken equipment.

Just about everything can get you a criminal record where we live :P Not that I don't like living in UK

If someone gets upset, there are ways to get you in legal trouble for doing it, but those usually fall under trespassing, etc. The average person doesn't mind, as long as you don't make a mess.

But, a trash-can is public property and by law no permit is required for search and seizure of anything inside of one.
This should allow anyone to take anything left out.
But to keep it on topic, last night I went around the neighbor hood to find something for this forum, I ended up finding a old big computer monitor.
