 Come on, you know you want to enter! And don't be a martyr and say that it is because all the rules were thrown out the window, Triton is not even entering now! You got your way, you only lost a few days, get back in here! If your portable is as good as your talk... I cant wait to see it.

Care to join me on a rocking chair on my porch sipping whiskey and chatting about the good ole days?

Actually, I really just don't have any desire to finish and enter. Apparently, this means I can't just enjoy what everyone else is doing. Whatever.

I like the idea that if anyone edits their voting that the votes from that person don't count.

The cart slot is wired up, the cart slot surround is painted (looks lovely) and screwed to the case. Because the case is being made as small as it can be, it is going to have to be 20mm thick, including the two sheets of 3mm perspex; this is absolutely fine, but necessary due to the sheer amount of wiring to the cart port.

At the crunch stage - will make a battery compartment tomorrow for two NDS Lite Li-ions and will get the system working to see how long the batteries last for before needing recharge. I have to cross my fingers and hope all the wiring is right and nothing fries when the system turns on!

Incorporating a different power-on feature - not using a conventional on/off button, I am using two of the 32 pins on the GB cart port for the 7.4v line (actually more like 8.4v as each of the batteries are giving me 4.2v). When a cart is inserted, it will complete the circuit between the two ends of the GB cart and turn on the system and game board at the same time; when cart removed, system goes off.

I have some spare plug'n'plays, might fry one or two maybe - although they want 4 x AA's as standard, they don't run on rechargables but need alkalines for a full 6v; in fact a couple of the systems need more like 7.4v or more to run properly - I will test them on 8.4v and see if they fry or not (I don't want to have to use step-down regulators if I can help it).

neat idea but will the traces have enough meat to handle the power draw of a screen and system? Might have to go with a relay of some kind.

I'll let you guys decide everything as far as voting goes. I think we should all just agree just to not cheat. After all, if you have to cheat, then you know you suck.

The poll system cant be easily changed, but with people like bic who can do anything, who knos what could be rigged? :P

So, points are the cooliest with me: That way we can choose many portables we like instead of just one. After all I know I wont take first, but I'd like to know who thinks I did well under my own time limit.(only those who can understand the limited build time I had compared with how well my case looks are the ones who's lists I shall make)
