I saw one this summer across the street and thought it was snes at first.
It had a bicycling game in it, and when I saw it was a nes I thought was custom made(They are FREAKING RICH)

i bought one not too long ago. i love the dogbone controllers. much more comfortable. it doesn't have composite video tho, so that sucks. i'm plannin on doing the composite mod and turnin it into a portable one day. i've already been told i'm crazy by many ppl. but, i want a smaller 100% compatible nes portable than you can get using the toaster.

i still don't see the big deal about turning it into a portable. geeze. it's just sitting in the corner right now, not even hooked up to my tv. and there is no way in heck i'm gonna sell it. so it's the only logical thing for me to do with it. that way i can enjoy it and actually use it. it's not like i'm throwing it away or smashing it to a million pieces.

don't be hatin on me just because i can afford to get an nes 2. i actually didn't spend all that much on it considering it was a lot of nes stuff.

i paid around $70-$80 for all that. well worth it i believe. def not the deals spoken of in the video linked above, but still good.

Main reason I haven't built a NOAC portable yet, need compatiblity.

DUDE do not hack up the top loader. I have prolly 10 OG nintendo's but in my 20+yrs of gamming I have never accually seen a top loader in person .

I have had over 10 of them.

There were a LOT of them made.

How about this: Take the NES 2 guts out, then put an NOAC into the old shell. That way, it still retains most of its functionality. You could even sell it.
