Hi all, I was very impressed by images and videos of Brians portable SNES, and google quickly lead me here. I started reading the SNES section a bit and figured that, with a lot of time and dedication, I should be able to get one of these babies working.
So far I've bought a SNES Mini from ebay, 3 ZN-40 cases and some tools from a local electronics shop. I also spent lots and lots of hours trying to find a good LCD screen for it. PSOne screens are very hard to find for me (hardly any USA shops shipping to Europe) or they come at ridicilous prices ($80 on amazon) so I was wondering if there is a better place for me to get a nice psone screen, or perhaps not a psone screen at all?
My next question is about PAL compatibility for the SNES mini. I have a few NTSC games here but it'd be awesome if I could also play my PAL games. I believe the slots dont differ at all but I'm still wondering if theres something like this mod that I should/could use.
And last, what kind of batteries would you suggest? I've spent way too much on this already so the price doesn't really matter a lot to me anymore, I'd like the batteries to charge in at most 6 hours and play for at least 3 hours or so.

um I'm afraid if you read porta potty's thread then, you would know that it isn't PAL compatible.

I have the same problem, I live in europe too and ordering from internet is for me a huge problem, most things aren't available here most things don't ship from U.S. or shipping costs are too high.

I live in Holland too, shipping really is a pain.
I've decided to put the mini snes on ebay in a few days, or if anyone on here (from Europe) wants it you can take it over cheap. Instead I've ordered a retro duo for PAL compatibility, it would be too much of a shame to hardly be able to play any games on a very cool portable..
Now I'm still in need of a little advice, which screen would you guys recommend for me, taking into account that PSone screens are hardly obtainable here in holland? And what about batteries?
