Well, being banned from compy sucks, as you all know I can get on, but not when my folks are around. So I made this to pass the time!

Proof I'm a PW fan!

(Gotta love the new camera, shot this from across the room with zoom!)

Wonder what I'm doing next?

Made of epoxy, sanding, and then Krylon black the gloss.

It's Maya Fey's necklace pendant thing isn't it. One of my mates would kill for that. Me her and another girl have been meaning to do PW cosplay as Maya, Ema and the mighty Dick Gumshoe.

He got bad grades last year. Now the just start of with him punished and he has to earn his stuff. I said this else where but when my parents tried this I just didn't do anything and let my grades fall to complete zeros. As soon as the gave up I started working. Stupid on my part because my grades sucked but I got what I wanted and graduated highschool.

SS - Nice to see you can still post at the moment!

Word of caution, I am sure your parents aren't complete idiots, they only have to visit this forum to see if you broke their rules or not!! :P

Why are you banned from the compo mate? You may not have completed your build (assume it wasn't totally finished) but you did enter it, so surely it is valid?; that is the main thing. I am assuming you started the project after/on 20 July.

I am sure if you have access to epoxy, filler, paint and cases you can fill in your time preparing project cases for future projects?? You could always sell them if you do a good enough job.

The only way your parents can win by depriving you of your project work is that they think you are intelligent and lazy, easily diverted; so taking away your hobby is a punishment/incentive. If you are actually not too bright, then taking away your hobby is counterproductive as developing your skills in this area could embrace a career!

Actually, all the acess I had to that stuff is in the garage, and I have nothing else. And my dad let me do it because I proved to him he could not relate it to my project. And, I dont think my parent would ever check this forum! :P

Anyways, like I said, Every time I post I'm secretly sneaking it, because my dad didnt check to see if the lock worked.

Actually, I molded it after the one that Phoenix keeps in his court record, not the necklace one. I think the necklace one is bigger, because gumshoe mistakes it for a green cough drop. :P

SS

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I finished the Gavin belt buckle, which was originally the necklace But I couldnt find chains I could bear to wear! :P So yeah, I'll post pics when I get around to it.

The necklace one is much flatter, keep that in mind as you work. I suggest making a boxy shaped one, then spending 4-8 hours filing the excess with a nail file. The hours will fly by like nothing!

Another thing to keep in mind: You say that your dad did not check the lock. This may cause problems later. From personal experience: What happens when he goes to unlock the computer? Most likely, he will end up discovering that is was never locked at all. Or, even worse, he catches you! While you still have net access: Burn ophcrack, it will help in case of emergency locking. Second, burn a linux live cd. This way, you can lock down the computer for real (With the added bonus of making him look old and forgetful when the time comes to unlock the computer, but the password has changed), and use the live cd for all computer use, bypassing windows completely. You can also use a different copy of firefox through linux to keep your web history from showing up in windows.

Another thing: I assume you know how to get into safe mode? Usually you have to press F8 at startup. Try it out. On XP home, and vista basic and premium, this brings up an emergency "Administrator" account. Using this, you can make a new account, or just use the admin one. Normally, it has no password, but you can add one. I suggest you do it now, before someone else does.

With these awesome tips, you will never truly be separated from your computer! :D
