Game Boy Color Casing
Hi, all!
This is my first time modding, and I would like some ideas and tips. I am making a Sonic the Hedgehog-themed GBC, and I was wondering what materials I should use, what kind of design, et cetera.

What he means is: Why a sonic gameboy color? Until the GBA generation, there were no Sega games for nintendo consoles, so making a sonic themed GBC seems...Umm... Lame. Why not a sega game gear? Or a nomad? A sega console makes a lot more sense.
I have a feeling that you are under the age of 15, and thus have no knowledge of the history of sega. Not your fault, though.
I you MUST make a sonic themed GBC... I guess you could paint it blue? Unless you have silkscreening equipment, or maybe get a vinyl printing, getting it to look like it has anything to do with sonic will look bad.

Excellent
The reason for a GBC is because 1) I don't want to spend too much money on my first mod and 2) I have some games to go with the GBC.palmertech wrote:What he means is: Why a sonic gameboy color? And you are right on both accounts - I am 14 and have no earthly idea about the history of Sega.
If not Sonic themed, then how about Zelda? Maybe a Triforce-shaped case?

That would work. I have a lot of experience modding handhelds, I made an N64 themed DS mod (Google it). The problem with new cases is that you are usually making it bigger, and all the parts you are working with are very small. A green and gold paint job with a yellow LED would look sweet.

Excellent
Uhh... That might be a problem. I have already taken the components out of the case, and in the process it broke into 3 pieces. In retrospect maybe I shouldn't have opened it with a hammer...palmertech wrote:That would work. I have a lot of experience modding handhelds, I made an N64 themed DS mod (Google it). And I suppose that a Triforce-shaped case would be bulky, unless I broke up the board so that it would fit into a much smaller case.
