K, i was thinkin about grabbin some green uv fans with built in uv leds for my rig im workin on but
can anyone here tell me if they use regular uv leds to produce the effect or is there such a thing as colored uv, in this instance UV green lights?
might seem like a dumb question to some, but i dont feel like shelling out the cash and waiting for a week just to be dissapointed.
the lights look green in pics, but ultimately id like to know if anyones handled them in person.

Ultraviolet light is a wavelength of light that humans cannot see; it's of a wavelength beyond violet/purple, so no, there is no such thing as colored UV light, at least that we could take notice of with our bare eyes.
As far as a light source that puts out UV light, and another non-UV light, I don't know. I doubt it exists, outside of violet LEDS and flourescent bulbs, although flourescent bulbs by their nature emit first UV light, which is absorbed by a powder on the inside of the tube, and changed slightly to produce a different, more visible color.

are most likely not green themselves?

That fan's LOUD. 34 decibels! (Most 80mm fans run in the mid 20s. If you can fit one, install a 120mm fan; they blow more air for less noise.)
I don't think it's really UV at all. It just looks like a regular fan made out of clear plastic with LEDs embedded in it, which will give you a similar effect.
