PCB total height is about 1/3 of an inch for the 2.5". There's just a ribbon connector and a grounding wire (a must if you're not LED modded) connected to the screen. As soon as I can, I'll get some pictures of what I've got and put them up here, if anybody really wants to see it.

Yse but a Psone screen is 320x240 and it is huge with the screen and controller.

A 3.5" 640x480 would fit in a lot smaller space and with the excellent resolution it would more than make up for it's slightly smaller size

When building a quality Portable one must think about more than the price.

For prolonged periods of time, yes. But if it's just an hour or so every so often it's fine. Different amount of time for different people though, if you're one of those people who are always texting on their cellphone, small screens should be fine.
