Easy Garage Door Opener

I had to go to Staples to get a quad-ruled composition book, so while I was there I picked up an Easy button. A couple hours later, after trimming my garage door opener and some soldering, I now have an easy button that opens and closes my garage door and says, "that was easy"

I remember a lot of discussion about the easy button on another tech forum... People were trying to reprogram the sound storage chip with new phrases for fun, even trying to access the sound player chips speed, pitch, and volume control.

Finally, someone asked why they did not just solder in a voice recorder chip and call it a day.

"That would be TOO easy".

An argument you hear a lot here, too. Why not just buy a PSP and put emulators, and call it a day?

One side note, When I originally wired up the Garage door opener I reversed the polarity on accident. Luckily, it didnt fry

I always wanted to wire one of those to a power strip so one button could turn off all the electronic off at my desk. Never got around to it though
