Need a video editor that does....

video combining. I want to record my self twice, and then have both of those video footages being shown in one video. To be exact, one would show me playing the guitar with no distortion, the other with distortion, switching back and forth on which one is playing.

You need editing software that can do more than one layer of video. Are you looking for something free? I don't know anything free that does that... Adobe Premiere Elements isn't too expensive though.

Sony Vegas isn't free.

Google "free multi layer NLE" (That's non linear editor)

AVISynth and VirtualDubMod? It seems to be a fairly powerful (but not user-friendly) combo.
